ASUS unveils ChromeBox


As ASUS made a promise last year finally ASUS released their compact and inexpensive Chromebox whichwas a simple simple PC setup with bells and whistles.

ASUS Chromebox has three engine choices the  Intel Celeron 2955U, i3-4010 or 4th Gen Intel Core i7 processor. All engine are paired running to an Intel HD Graphics GPU and a choice of 2GB or 4GB of RAM. ASUS Chromebox equipped with a plethora of ports which comprises of four USB 3.0s, a pair of ports for video out (HDMI and DisplayPort), an audio jack, as well as an RJ-45 port.

However ASUS has given the Chromebox a fairly small onboard storage which can only hold up less than 16GB worth of data to keep this device to a low price. ASUS Chromebox is slated to hit the shelves starting next month with base configuration (Celeron + 2GB RAM) selling for USD179. Also for USD999 includes an HD Camera with Carl Zeiss lens, a Remote control, as well as a fancy Speaker with Microphone and inbuilt DSP.
